NOTES FROM JGL
Wednesday, February 13, 2008 : It’s pouring outside, and I have plenty of time on my hands to start this endeavor. Most of these notes will come from actual notes, journals, friendship logs, year book messages, letters and so on. Entry 1: June, 1952
This edited entry comes from several students in the 6 th grade class at School #4. It was the annual “friendship log time” of the year. We were soon to be 7 th graders at FLHS. No names are given in order to protect the writers.
Some people write up. Some people write down. but, I’m different, and I write upside down. (You have to turn the page upside down.)
- Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. Poor little Humpty Dumpty didn’t look in the yellow pages of the telephone book.
- I hope you have a very happy summer. And that I can be in your class next year if I can work my self up.
- There are big ships. There are little ships. But there is no ship like friendship.
